Monday – Friday, May 11-15. I will be giving a 5-day workshop on Bryophyte Identification and Ecology. Check out the flier here. November 2025

Friday November 7. I will be a guest speaker at the Missouri Botanical Symposium this year. The title of my talk: “Let’s Write a Moss Book….I said”. Let’s referring to me, myself, and I. I will discuss what brought me to write this book and the challenges involved, along with discussing the differences between being published vs. self-published. Both of my books will be available for purchase at the symposium.

Tuesday November 11. I will be giving a seminar to the Missouri Master Naturalist, Confluence Chapter. I will be discussing the major differences between mosses, liverworts, and hornworts, and then focus on field chracteristics that will help identify the more comon families and genera that one is likly to encounter in Missouri.
July/August 2025

Friday July 25th – Sunday August 10th. I will be on my annual trip to the mountains of Montana checking out both the beauty and bryophytes of the beautiful Beartooth’s.

Missouri Native Plant Society summer field trip in part to Graham Cave SP on Friday, June 20th, 2025. I will be hosting a tour of the park, and then give a presentation later that evening at Cuivre River SP. Click here for more information.

The Forest City Village School in St. James, MO, is hosting me at the James Memorial Public Library on Wednesday, June 25th, at 1pm. Bring your big kids and enjoy a book reading from Gramelda the Grasshopper, along with a grasshopper craft. Here is a link to their FB post.
